Myntra CBO Sharon Pais Returns to Flipkart to Lead Fashion Division Amid Strategic Realignment

In a major leadership movement within the Flipkart Group, Sharon Pais, Chief Business Officer at Myntra, is set to move back to Flipkart to head its fashion division. Her transition marks a significant strategic shift as the e-commerce giant intensifies its focus on profitability and operational efficiency ahead of a potential IPO in 2026.

Pais’s move comes at a time when Flipkart and Myntra are undergoing a wave of internal leadership restructuring aimed at sharpening business synergies across the group. Over the past financial year, Flipkart and its subsidiaries have narrowed losses by streamlining costs and optimizing resources, even as revenue growth remained modest due to muted online retail demand.

With an extensive career spanning over 17 years across leading consumer and retail brands, Sharon Pais brings a deep understanding of fashion, lifestyle, and e-commerce operations.

At Myntra, she was responsible for driving the platform’s overall business performance and strategy, overseeing category management, revenue generation, and marketplace growth. Under her leadership, Myntra scaled new verticals including Beauty & Personal Care and Home, while also spearheading FWD, Myntra’s Gen Z-focused initiative. She played a pivotal role in building the ‘Myntra Rising Star’ program, a key growth engine for D2C fashion brands, and led the company’s monetization charter from 2025 onward.

Before joining Myntra, Pais had a long and impactful tenure at Flipkart, where she held multiple key roles — from Head of Women’s Apparel and Head of Home Categories to Head of Loyalty and Travel. Her early years at Flipkart also saw her managing category marketing for Home, Books, and General Merchandise, contributing to growth across diverse segments.

Her professional journey began at Procter & Gamble (P&G), where she spent over five years across sales, trade marketing, and modern retail management roles. She played an instrumental role in expanding modern trade operations in southern India and driving business transformation across key retail channels.

With her strong track record in scaling brands, optimizing business performance, and leading cross-functional teams, Sharon Pais’s return to Flipkart signals a renewed thrust towards revitalizing the platform’s fashion portfolio a core category as the company gears up for its next phase of growth.
