H&M Relocates India HQ to Bengaluru, Leaving Delhi-NCR Behind

H&M, the Swedish fast fashion giant, is relocating its Indian headquarters from Delhi-NCR to Bengaluru to leverage the city’s burgeoning e-commerce and fashion technology ecosystem. The company, which employs over 100 people, will move from its Saket office in Delhi to a new office in North Bengaluru, according to a YourStory report.

This decision comes in the wake of significant leadership changes at H&M India. Last year, Louis Coucke, the company’s CFO and Country Controller, departed to join the Dubai-based Albatha Group.

He was succeeded by Eric Bennici, and in 2024, Helena Kuylenstierna was appointed as the India Director, marking a new chapter for the company.

Bengaluru: A Growing Fashion and E-commerce Hub Bengaluru has established itself as a nucleus for top talent in e-commerce, technology, and fashion. The city hosts an increasing number of apparel brands, both traditional and digital-first, including Rare Rabbit, Mensa Brands, and Arvind Fashion. Prominent fashion platforms like Myntra, Ajio, Flipkart, and Meesho are also headquartered in Bengaluru, making it a strategic choice for H&M’s expansion. This move aligns with the growing significance of e-commerce for fashion retailers, especially in the post-pandemic landscape.

H&M, which previously operated solely on Myntra, extended its online presence in 2023 by collaborating with Ajio.
