A PRIVATE INDUSTRIAL ESTATE SETS UP AN ECO FRIENDLY TEXTILE PROCESSING UNIT.

A private industrial estate at Thamaraipatti in Virudhunagar district has set up a textile processing cluster to diminish environmental hazards of textile processing . The signs of our planet depict a patient in ailing health and this step was the need of the hour .

To promote ecological and nature – friendly garment production , 26 textile processing units have been set up that would spread over 104 acres . 96% of the water consumption by the textile units will be recycled and the remaining would evaporate creating no pollution . The primary operations at the processing units would include dyeing and spinning different types of yarn . The units will deal with various fabrics but primarily focus on silk and jute .

An active and mindful decision of EU which asks for certification of no pollution while producing garments have prompted various other companies to switch to eco – friendly methods . Apart from addressing the most imperative and urgent concern of environmental protection it would also lead to employment production .

This private industrial estate is receiving worldwide appreciation for its sensible and heedful contribution towards environmental protection .
