Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail revenue jumps 23%

India-based Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. (ABFRL) has reported a 23 percent surge in revenue to Rs. 2,282 million compared to Rs. 1,855 in the corresponding quarter of last year.

The retail company’s profit reached Rs. 70 crore against Rs. 35 crore in last year.

Madura, which comprises brands like Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Peter England, Forever 21, People among others, recorded a 18 percent revenue growth to Rs. 1,345 crore as against Rs. 1,139 crore in the third quarter of FY 2018.

Revenue for Lifestyle brands increased by 16 percent to Rs. 1,137 crore from Rs. 983 crore

Pantaloons also recorded a robust growth during the quarter as its revenue grew by 28 percent to Rs. 961 crore.

The company said that its fast-fashion business will keep on improving. The international brands will also progressively build upon the existing brand portfolio.
