KALKI, one of India’s leading ethnic fashion brands, has announced the appointment of Soumabrata Sarkar as Vice President & Business Head – Offline Business. With over a decade of experience in retail leadership, business development, and strategic operations across top apparel and lifestyle brands, Soumabrata will spearhead KALKI’s offline retail strategy and expansion.

Based in Mumbai, Soumabrata will lead initiatives to drive store growth, operational excellence, and enhanced customer experience across KALKI’s retail network in India. His mandate also includes strengthening KALKI’s position as a preferred global Indian brand and extending its presence into international markets. This strategic appointment marks an important milestone in KALKI’s journey to reinforce its leadership in India’s ethnic fashion industry and build a seamless omnichannel experience for its customers.

Before joining KALKI, Soumabrata served as Deputy National Sales Manager at Vedant Fashions Limited – Manyavar-Mohey, where he successfully scaled the retail and large format retail (LFR) business nationwide. His professional journey also includes impactful tenures at VF Corporation, adidas, and Reebok, where he gained deep expertise in retail strategy, franchise management, and consumer engagement.

An entrepreneur at heart, Soumabrata co-founded Urbanshri Creation, where he explored innovative ways to merge traditional retail with digital platforms — reflecting his passion for reimagining the future of fashion retail.

With his strategic mindset, people-first leadership style, and proven retail acumen, Soumabrata is set to play a pivotal role in KALKI’s next growth phase — steering the brand’s offline business toward new levels of excellence and redefining the ethnic wear experience for customers in India and abroad.
