Ukraine’s textile company Textile-Kontakt invests to open new fabric unit soon

Ukraine-based Textile-Kontakt Group, a pioneer in fabric manufacturing which is also into wholesale and retail trade, fabric import, accessories, home textile, special garments (like military uniforms), plans to invest around UAH 130 million in a new production site at Chernihiv, scheduled to be opened in December this year.

In the current year, an investment of UAH 30 million will be made, followed by UAH 100 million by the end of 2019.

Reportedly, the Group had commenced repairing workshops with a total area of 3,500 square metres and installation of new equipment last month itself.

The production capacity of the new unit will be 2-3 million metres of fabric per year. It will create 80 jobs initially and 100 more once fully functional.

As reported, the major range will be of fabrics made from 100 percent cotton — twill, bleached calico and printed cotton, as well as blended raincoat fabric Greta.

Textile-Kontakt is also considering to manufacturer a special fabric for Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense.
