It was a momentous evening filled with pride, nostalgia, and renewed commitment as Brother International India celebrated 25 glorious years of its business in India. The grand event, held in Bangalore, brought together industry leaders, partners, and key stakeholders from across the country to commemorate the company’s remarkable journey in empowering the Indian garment and textile industry through innovation and technology.

The evening began on a celebratory note, acknowledging Brother’s 25 years of relentless commitment to innovation, partnership, and growth. The milestone event marked not just the brand’s achievements in India but also its vision for a future defined by sustainability, automation, and digital transformation in the apparel machinery segment.

Speaking on the occasion, Makoto Hoshii, Senior Managing Executive Officer, Brother International Japan, expressed immense pride in addressing the gathering and reflected on the company’s deep connection with India. Having joined Brother in 1993 and been associated with the Indian market since then, Hoshii’s words carried both experience and emotion.

“Post-COVID, Brother has seen growing interest from manufacturers in automation and AI-led production. The company’s solutions now extend beyond sewing—into production management systems and smart factory applications,” said Tyusoshi Kawamura, MD, Brother Machinery Asia Limited.

Recalling Brother’s journey in India, Sahani shared that “The company established its office 25 years ago, engaging closely with dealers and customers. What began as a modest operation has now evolved into one of the most trusted brands in industrial sewing and garment machinery, powering numerous factories and shaping modern apparel manufacturing in India.“Having been involved with India for such a long time, it’s a moving experience for me to be able to host this event with you all today,” he added.

Hoshii traced Brother’s heritage to its origins 117 years ago in Japan, a country renowned for technological innovation and craftsmanship.

“Our journey began 117 years ago in Japan, a nation known for its relentless pursuit of innovation. Today, Brother is not just a name; it’s a symbol of cutting-edge technology and a testament to the strength of enduring partnerships,” he remarked.
