H&M workers in Chile Appeals for Higher Wages

Strike by Chilean workers at H&M are in demand of higher wages and this has disrupted the operations H&M stores in Chile. Only 429 workers came in attendance, which is approximately 65% of H&M Chile’s total workforce. Knowing that the Chilean stores have commanded some of the company’s highest sales and revenue at the global level, they are looking at much higher base salary, and not necessarily a bonus.
