H&M to launch a new retail brand called Arket

May 4, 2017

H&M would soon launch a retail chain by the name of Arket. This chain would offer essential products for men, women, children along with home decor products. Arket stores would sell its own products alongside a selection of products from non-H&M brands.

Arket’s products will be priced slightly higher than that of the group’s core H&M brand products. For example men’s shirts start at €39 (about $42) and go up to €115. Ulrika Bernhardtz, Arket’s creative director pointed out the importance of bringing different brands under one roof for the sake of customer convenience. Arket’s first retail store slated to start in London’s Regent Street later this year around autumn. The brand would lay great emphasis on Europe as opening of the London store would be accompanied with the start of online trading in 18 European countries and in due course its stores would be launched in Brussels, Munich and Copenhagen.
