Patanjali Ayrveda Ltd that started in the year 2006 with the vision to revive India’s ayurveda practice has grown into a giant in the game and enjoys the strata of an FMGC now. Patanjali after venturing into medicines, organic food items and many more now plans to foray into textile and garment manufacturing. Patanjali started with an agenda to promote make in India and their decision to venture into textile is a part of the same strategy. During the inauguration of Patanjali Gramodhyog in Alwar Ramdev, announced that patanjali will soon get into garment and textiles market to break the stronghold of foreign manufacturers and will manufacture everything from underwear to sportswear. With their emphasis on locally made or ‘Swadeshi’ products, the company and Ramdev have been trying to get Indians to give up foreign brands.
